Dandruff not only spoils the appearance of a person, but also harms the hair. Everything in our body is interconnected, and the reasons can be completely different.

Oily dandruff — this type, on the contrary, is caused by increased sebum secretion. The scales are large in size, they are impregnated with a sebaceous secret, it is for this reason that they stick together with each other, attaching to the hair. They are quite difficult to separate. Often, these sloughing epithelial cells, which are saturated with sebum, clog the excretory duct of the gland. Often itching appears, the hair is shiny with seborrhea, having the effect of oiled hair.
What to do?
If dandruff does not go away after cleansing and choosing the right care products, it is a disease — seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
If you have psoriasis, flaking will be accompanied by a pronounced reddening of the scalp that does not go away.
Remember that in such cases, the use of scrubs for the scalp is strictly prohibited.
In mild cases, a tar-based shampoo with a keratolytic effect will help.

If you have seborrheic dermatitis, you will notice scaly, flaky yellowish patches. In this case, antifungal shampoos, which include zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide and 2% ketoconazole, will help. It should be applied until the condition of the scalp stabilizes, in case of relapse, it should be repeated.
